I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong

University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China's best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. In 1999, I joined the distinguished Professor Yu-Geng Xis research group aiming at Network flow problem solving and Heuristic algorithm research. Soon I was engaged in the FuDan Gene Database Design. My duty was to pick up the useful information among different kinds of gene matching format. Through the comparison and analysis for many heuristic algorithms, I introduced an improved evolutionary algorithm -- Multi-population Genetic Algorithm. By dividing a whole population into several sub-populations, this improved algorithm can effectively prevent GA from local convergence and promote various evolutionary orientations. It proved more efficiently than SGA in experiments, too. In the second semester, I joined the workshop-scheduling research in Shanghai Heavy Duty Tyre plant. The scheduling was designed for the rubber-making process that covered not only discrete but also continuous circumstances. To make a balance point between optimization quality and time cost, I proposed a Dynamic Layered Scheduling method based on hybrid Petri Nets. The practical application showed that the average makespan was shortened by a large scale. I also publicized two papers in core journals with this idea. Recently, I am doing research in the Composite Predict of the Electrical Power system assisted with the technology of Data Mining for Bao Steel. I try to combine the Decision Tree with Receding Optimization to provide a new solution for the Composite Predictive Problem. This project is now under construction.

Besides, In July 20xx, I got the opportunity to give a lecture in English in Asia Control Conference (ASCC) which is one of the top-level conferences among the world in the area of control and automation. In my senior year, I met Prof.Xiao-Song Lin, a visiting professor of mathematics from University of California-Riverside, I learned graph theory from him for my network research. These experiences all rapidly expanded my knowledge of English and the understanding of western culture.

I hope to study in depth .In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. 大二的时候，我参加了学院的学生工作，负责组织和协调整个学院的寒暑假社会实践活动。这一年我也参加了学校学院的各种活动，结交了许多好朋友，在和老师同学的交流过程中，我也成长了许多，学会了很多做人做事的道理。当然，在这个过程中，我的积极表现也受到了老师和同学的好评，获得了一些奖项，包括“优秀共青团干部”“社会实践先进个人”等，而且我也积极向党组织靠拢，于去年的十月份成为中共预备党员。

在个人技能方面，我一次性通过了英语四六级，听说读写都还ok，计算机方面，初步掌握了c语言，c++，能熟练应用办公软件和多媒体处理软件，通过了计算机基础综合技能认证.

如果能如愿以偿的进入北航，我打算在硕士阶段有以下规划：首先，进一步了解我的研究方向，认真补充专业知识;同时希望能够跟着老师接触一些项目，用项目驱动学习。希望自己到最后能够自己带项目。另外如果有机会的话，希望能够在北航继续深造，攻读博士学位。

先看紧张的表现，在面试阶段，我自己总结主要有以下几个方面：

经常容易紧张的童鞋请对号入座。

至于如何克服紧张心理，很多作品上都有一些既定的方法和技巧，他们会告诉我们要让自己要树立自信、要充分准备、要保持平常心、要多锻炼等。但是我会发现这些理论或方法都很有道理，但在我们实际紧张的时候却难以带来直接的帮助作用，我们依旧紧张。

我自己也经历了从紧张到从容的一个过程，那么接下来我就给各位分享一下如何克服紧张情绪几个土方法，简单粗暴，行之有效。

第一个土方法就是大纲记忆法

我们去面试前，把目标岗位最关键的3-5点要求写在纸条上，在面试前多看两眼，并在脑海里把大纲回放一遍。

紧张往往容易带来短暂的思维间断或大脑空白，牢记最关键的内容往往可以让我们更加自信和从容。

对大纲的确认会给我们带来很正面的自我暗示，让你认为你已经把握住了主线;把握住它，我们的面试表现一定不会太差。

就像我们考试做的小抄一样，即使不一定能抄到，它往往也能让我们在考试的时候不那么紧张。

接下来给要介绍的技巧就是主动示弱

这个技巧有者非常直接的效果。如果真的很紧张，我们可以在面试前主动向面试官表明自己的紧张心情，赚取面试官的谅解或者鼓励。

在适当地选择示弱，绝对是聪明的人的选择。

这个技巧的原理其实很简单，一方面会示弱会给紧张的我们带来放松的感觉，仿佛已经找到了台阶;另一方面示弱会让面试官给我更多的鼓励和微笑。更关键的是，面试官对主动表达紧张心情的求职者往往会更多的宽容，他们的注意力不在是我们的紧张，而是实际回答的'内容。

这就是为什么很多明星在现场唱歌前往往会说“感冒了，嗓子不舒服”或者“昨天没休息好，唱得不好大家请见谅”的一部分原因。很多人在开始演讲前也会适当示弱，以克服自己的紧张情绪。

第三个技巧是我们要以自己喜欢的方式来做面试开场

紧张会带来很多神经系统的变化和肢体的反应。那这个时候我们不妨做一些放松自己身体的一些动作，比如降低说话的语速、去除多余的肢体动作、平缓的深呼吸、肌肉放松等。这些肢体的放松会直接舒缓我们的情绪。

以上土方，为个人总结。当然，克服紧张也并不能一蹴而就，多在实践中训练是最优先的突进。

尼古拉斯赵四说过，没有什么紧张是一次训练无法克服的，如果一次不行，那就100次。

一、要与面试官进行目光的交流

On Oct. 14, 20xx, I boarded on the flight CA-983 from Peking to Los Angeles. After the 15 hrs long flight and jet lag, I arrived in LAX on time and started the new life in America. 三、培养孩子生活自理能力方面的问题。

逐渐开始转凉了，孩子们的衣服也开始穿的多了起来。可是，我经常会发现，午睡起床时不是这个孩子不会穿衣服就是那个孩子鞋子穿反了。我觉得教育孩子参加家务劳动，帮助他们成为有责任感、爱劳动的人是很有必要的：我们可以让幼儿做力所能及的事情：如自己穿衣服、穿鞋子，收拾玩具、整理自己的房间‘让他们先做简单的事，这样孩子才有信心去完成。参加劳动，既是学习的过程又是锻炼的过程，

在这个过程中和会有成功和失败。学习力所能及的事情自己做提高责任感。如果孩子没有完成分配给他的家务活，比如饭前的准备工作，你可以对他说：“要是你收拾好了桌子我们就可以开饭了。”慢慢的孩子就会意识到其行为所产生的好坏不同的效果。这样就懂得了自己在家中的作用和责任了。不要用零食、玩具、金钱作为对孩子从事家务劳动或其他成绩的奖励。就好比幼儿在园用餐前，教师都会要求：小嘴巴不讲话，小手放背后。在孩子们有安静的情况下在进行用餐。如果幼儿很吵闹的情况下依然进餐。那样的氛围会影响幼儿的用餐质量。

特别是有时饭菜比较烫手的情况下有些调皮的孩子会故意去触摸或挪动，这时我们老师会对幼儿进行批评教育，但是有些调皮的孩子会借机说老师不让吃饭或其他之类的理由给家长汇报，这时作为我们老师就非常的委屈，不过这只是其少的现象，其实我们批评教育完全是为了保障孩子的安全。希望有些家长能够理解老师的良苦用心。在家里多给幼儿讲解安全小常识。

四、下面讲一下现在孩子存在的几个问题：

（1）孩子不会珍惜时间

孩子不会珍惜时间，这和家长对孩子的娇惯有很大的关系。有的孩子晚上不睡早上不起，每天早上要爸爸妈妈或爷爷奶奶一遍又一遍的叫，反正爸爸妈妈会帮忙穿衣服，穿鞋子，叠被子。觉得上学迟到没什么，这样不利于培养孩子的时间观念，也助长了孩子依赖父母的习惯。不要觉得孩子还小“树大自然直”，对孩子做事少闻少问，正确的行为不鼓励强化，错误的行为没有坚决制止，时间长了，问题就会越来越突出，好习惯没有养成，却形成了许多坏习惯。在家要配合幼儿园培养幼儿的好的、科学的作息习惯，树立孩子的时间观念培养孩子做事专一，抓紧时间的习惯。让孩子早睡早起，有充分的睡眠。

（2）有些孩子爱发脾气。

孩子乱发脾气时家长应立即指出他的错误，并对他的错误冷淡下来，不理睬他，直到孩子软下来，再给他讲道理。当孩子有进步时，如实同一件事，现在不再发脾气或减轻了，要及时地表扬鼓励，久而久之，孩子正确的行为得到了巩固，错误的行为就会消除。不要让孩子感到乱发脾气的好处，更不要急急忙忙向孩子妥协。要让他知道发脾气不会让大家喜欢，乱发脾气不会有收获，这样孩子在乱发脾气达不到目的的过程中，学会会自我控制，慢慢就会改掉了！

（3）个别孩子坐不住。

静静的坐着或长时间专注做一件事，对于大多数的孩子是一件很困难的事。好动，坐不住的孩子很难专心听讲。孩子坐不住和“多动症”并不是一回事，一般来说，孩子坐不住不是一种病态，是特定年龄所表现的一种特定的行为特征。如；坐在椅子上不停的左右摇晃、跪在椅子上，或一会站一会坐，喜欢打扰别人；在教室里来回轻轻地走，到处跑。

所以我建议：可以让孩子多参加集体活动，在活动中培养兴趣，爱玩是孩子的天性，父母可以在家和孩子做有意思的游戏：搭积木、橡皮泥、拼图画画、讲故事情节长的故事，让孩子在比较长的时间里专心做事情，可锻炼孩子的持久力、意志力等。例如：玩游戏‘木头人’，当说到“不许说话不许动”时要求双方停止活动，可以锻炼自我控制能力。奖励与惩罚如果用各种办法都不行时，尤其是孩子应该做自己的事情时（到了晚上睡觉的时间）家长一定要严厉得责令他立即安静做自己的事，如果孩子一贯很闹，突然能安静时哪怕是几分钟，也要鼓励他。相信他总会有进步的！

（3）安全工作，请家长每天来幼儿园要检查孩子的口袋和书包，不要让孩子带玩具及有危险的东西，有的孩子可能好玩把打火机，小刀，小珠子带到幼儿园里来。如果伤害到孩子自己或伤害到其他小朋友都不好。不要给孩子戴项链等贵重物品，以免遗失。

（4）家长园地：即我们门口的（家园共育）主要是让家长了解本班的教育内容和一些家教知识、以及需要配合的事宜

（5）关注孩子接送情况

如果家长由于工作比较忙，有的没时间来接孩子，只能请他人代接时，应提前跟本班老师打招呼。

（6）望家长在孩子面前树立老师的良好形象：这一条说出来好象是一件小事，但是我希望能引起家长的重视。家长在与孩子交流时应该树立老师的正面形象。我这样说可能有点抽象，那么我举一个例子：如果孩子在家里表现不好，或是犯了错时，有些家长可能会说：“你不乖的话，我去告诉老师，让老师来批评你。”以我们的经验总结出家长比较喜欢问孩子的问题是：“你最喜欢哪个老师？哪个老师最好？哪个老师最凶？”家长既然给孩子提出了老师有好有坏、有凶有善、有喜欢的有不喜欢的，那么你的孩子肯定会按照你的思路去回答，他就必须选出最凶的，一个他最喜欢的，一个最好的可能说出的这三个人都是同一个老师。

When a sophomore I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. In 1997 I participated in simulation tool development for the scheduling system in Prof. Wang’s lab. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. In 1998 I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis &dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In 1999 I joined the distinguished Professor Yu-Geng Xis research group aiming at Network flow problem solving and Heuristic algorithm research. Soon I was engaged in the FuDan Gene Database Design. My duty was to pick up the useful information among different kinds of gene matching format. Through the comparison and analysis for many heuristic algorithms I introduced an improved evolutionary algorithm -- Multi-population Genetic Algorithm. By dividing a whole population into several sub-populations this improved algorithm can effectively prevent GA from local convergence and promote various evolutionary orientations. It proved more efficiently than SGA in experiments too. In the second semester I joined the workshop-scheduling research in Shanghai Heavy Duty Tyre plant. The scheduling was designed for the rubber-making process that covered not only discrete but also continuous circumstances. To make a balance point between optimization quality and time cost I proposed a Dynamic layered Scheduling method based on hybrid Petri Nets. The practical application showed that the average makespan was shortened by a large scale. I also publicized two papers in core journals with this idea. Recently I am doing research in the Composite Predict of the Electrical Power system assisted with the technology of Data Mining for Bao Steel. I try to combine the Decision Tree with Receding Optimization to provide a new solution for the Composite Predictive Problem. This project is now under construction.

Besides In July 20xx I got the opportunity to give a lecture in English in Asia Control Conference (ASCC) which is one of the top-level conferences among the world in the area of control and automation. In my senior year I met Prof. Xiao-Song Lin a visiting professor of mathematics from University of California-Riverside I learned graph theory from him for my network research. These experiences all rapidly expanded my knowledge of English and the understanding of western culture.

My duty was to pick up the useful information among different kinds of gene matching format. Through the

comparison and analysis for many heuristic algorithms, I introduced an improved evolutionary algorithm -- Multi-population Genetic Algorithm. By dividing a whole population into several sub-populations, this improved algorithm can effectively prevent GA from local convergence and promote various evolutionary

orientations. It proved more efficiently than SGA in experiments, too. In the second semester, I joined the workshop-scheduling research in Shanghai Heavy Duty Tyre plant. The scheduling was designed for the rubber-making process that covered not only discrete but also continuous circumstances. To make a balance point between optimization quality and time cost, I proposed a Dynamic Layered Scheduling method based on hybrid Petri Nets. The practical application showed that the

And that brings me to today’s Commencement speaker, Tim Cook. Tim is a brilliant example of someone who has used his platform to achieve a greater impact beyond his own company. He is a clear voice for leading with vision and values to address the challenges and responsibilities that confront society today. A native of Alabama, Tim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Auburn University and then an MBA from Duke University. Tim joined Apple in 1998 and became the company’s chief operating officer in 20xx. He was named CEO in August 20_. Now, Apple is a large organization, with more than 100,000 employees worldwide. And it would be certainly understandable if Tim focused all of his attention on the company and its operations. But instead, he has also used his position to speak out about issues related to privacy and to address the ethical and societal implications of the technology revolution that he’s helping to lead.
