春节，是我国传统的节日，到了这一天，全国人民都从四面八方赶回家贴春联、吃团圆饭、放鞭炮、看烟花……
传说有个叫“年”的兽，经常在春节出没，偷吃老百姓的牲畜，破坏他们的家园。村民们从一位乞讨的老人口中得知“年”最怕红色、火光和炸响，于是人们就贴红色春联、放鞭炮吓跑了“年”。从此，人们就过上了安居乐业的幸福生活。
春节期间，街上有许多来来往往的人：有的提着装有美味佳肴的小篮子，有的骑着车载着拿着彩球的孩子，还有的携家人一起看花市……
晚上，全家人欢欢喜喜地聚在一起吃年夜饭，分享着彼此生活中的奇闻趣事。特别是我们这些小孩子最幸福：穿着新衣裳，吃着最可口的饭菜，收到长辈们给的压岁钱，心里乐开了花。可我觉得最有意思的是饭后看烟花。走出家门，抬头仰望，天空中出现了五光十色的“花朵”，把夜空点缀得美丽极了!

To the Chinese people it is as important as Christmas to people in the West. the dates for this annual celebration are determined by the lunar calendar rather than the GREgorian calendar, so the timing of the holiday varies from late January to early February. To the ordinary Chinese, the festival actually begins on the eve of the lunar New Year's Day and ends on the fifth day of the first month of the lunar calendar. But the 15th of the first month, which normally is called the Lantern Festival, means the official end of the Spring Festival in many parts of the country.

大年三十，我与妈妈作伴去商场采购“过年必备用品”，到处都是人山人海，嘈杂不堪。
一路上，小摊贩的吆喝声、商店播放的广告声等等连绵不绝，吵得我耳朵微微疼痛起来。走在嘈杂的大街上，我捂着耳朵，妈妈看见我这番奇怪的举动便问，捂着耳朵干什么?我说，太吵了，吵得我耳朵疼。
她笑笑，过年自然是热闹些的。我仔细想想也是。过年，奔波在外的人们无论多么繁忙都努力回家过年，然而过年孤身在外的人是多么可怜啊，“独在异乡为异客，每逢佳节倍思亲”来形容他们最合适不过。
那只是对以前来说吧?
望着琳琅满目的商品，心里有种怪怪的感觉。似乎，过年，已经变味儿了。不知不觉中，过年已经越来越商业化，人们关心的不再是气氛，而是过年的开销有多大。小孩儿在意的不是过年的开心快乐，而是收到了多少压岁钱。我觉得有些可悲，可我握着妈妈温热的手，什么也没有说。忘了几时在家时，她也曾拿着厚厚的账本抱怨花钱如流水，我一直都是默不作声。假若我吐出了心底所想，她又会说我不懂事了。
